Heidi Lyga, a Bangor High School Spanish teacher who ran in the Boston Marathon in April, won her age group in the July 5 10-kilometer division at the annual Chileda Classic.

Lyga posted a time of 45 minutes, 13.9 seconds. That was good for the best time among women 40-44, nearly 4 1/2 minutes ahead of Onalaska’s Sue Bowman. Lyga also was ninth among the 119 women’s 10-kilometer runners and 69th among the 282 total runners, men and women.

Kimmi Muellenberg, the wife of Bangor football coach Rick Muellenberg, was ninth among the 42 women ages 35-39 in the five-kilometer race in 26:24.9. She also finished in the top quarter of all females in the five-kilometer race and in the top 40 percent of the 770 total five-kilometer races.

Bangor’s Terri Stoughtenger finished at the median of the 119 female 10-kilometer runners, taking 60th in 54.45.3. Bangor’s Dawn Faas was in the top half of five-kilometer women ages 35-39 with her time of 30:49.2, while also finishing in the top half of all women five-kilometer runners.

Rick Muellenberg finished the five-kilometer race in 27:44.7.
