When area students do well, we want to hear about it. The Coulee News publishes news about student achievements from elementary to college. Here is the latest good news about area students:

Megan Hussey, of West Salem, received a $500 Altra Federal Credit Union Community Service Scholarship. Altra Federal Credit Union awards the scholarships to members who have a demonstrated commitment to community service throughout their high school careers.

Blake Andrew Barnes, of West Salem, was named to the spring semester 2008 dean’s list at Iowa State University.

The following students were named to the Western Technical College President’s List of High Distinction for spring semester 2008:

BANGOR: Jason Cavadini, Nathan Hamilton, Jennifer Kneifl, Amanda Mangerson, Rachel Miller, Tyler Puent, Christopher Sampson and Lindsay Severson.
