With the school year recently coming to a close, most students found themselves thinking about what they would do this summer.

Like students everywhere, many West Salem students say they plan to sleep in, spend time with friends and family or lay out to get a tan.

Sophomore Morgan Van Cleave says she’ll go to the Dells with a few friends.

While a lot of freshman guys say they’ll be playing video games, a group of junior girls plan to visit Lake Wazee.

A few juniors plan to enjoy music.

“I’m going to Warped Tour in Shakopee,” said junior Megan Bain.

Another junior, Leigha Blank, plans to go to Summerfest with a friend.

A lot of people are going to go to the La Crosse Interstate Fair July 16-20. Other students plan to take the ACT.

“(I’ll) start driver’s education,” said freshman Spencer Lewison.

Some high school students will be traveling to different states and countries.

Kirsten Gunderson says she is going to Costa Rica and Laura Althoff is going to California. Some other places students will be going are Las Vegas, Washington and Seattle.

“I am planning on going to Austria and Germany for Girl Scouts,” said freshman Robbie Shelby.

Some other students say they’ll go shopping out of town.

“The most exciting thing I’ll do is to shopping in Chicago,” said junior Jessica Nuttelman.
