On May 30, the Quality of Worklife-Employee Involvement team and the U.S. Postal Service honored Stacy Ziemke, a rural carrier from the Rockland Post Office, with the Carrier of the Month award for January 2008.
Ziemke was presented a jacket and a certificate noting her achievement by Quality of Worklife representatives Sandy Walsh, a postmaster at Tomah, and Sharon Anderson, a rural carrier with the La Crosse Post Office.
Ziemke was nominated for this award by Rockland Postmaster Mary Johnson.
“Stacy is an outstanding rural carrier,” Johnson said. “She has a very positive work attitude, is dependable, focused on customer service and delivers her route safely and accurately in all kinds of weather.”
Ziemke began her career with the U.S. Postal Service in 1999 as a substitute rural carrier in Norwalk, Wis. She has filled in as a substitute on 31 different routes from 2001 until she started working in Rockland in 2005.
“It is an honor to receive this award,” Ziemke said. “I’ve been fortunate to have great customers and co-workers first in Norwalk and now in Rockland.
Ziemke lives in Wilton, Wis., with her two children, Jeremy and Jessica.
