Police reports

The following log is based on reports from the West Salem and Bangor police departments.

West Salem

For the week of May 2-9, the West Salem Police Department wrote seven citations, wrote three municipal citations and issued nine traffic warnings. The following is a selection of incidents.

Friday, May 2

10:31 p.m. — A 53-year-old West Salem man was cited for driving with an expired vehicle registration.

11:31 p.m. — A 25-year-old La Crosse woman was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Saturday, May 3

11:53 p.m. — A 32-year-old West Salem man was arrested for a second offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sunday, May 4

2:14 a.m. — An 18-year-old Westby man was cited for non-registration of a vehicle.

Monday, May 5

11:22 a.m. — A 16-year-old West Salem girl was cited for habitual truancy.

1:17 p.m. — A 16-year-old West Salem boy was cited for disorderly conduct.

4:25 p.m. — A 21-year-old La Crosse man was cited for illegal use of a radio.

Wednesday, May 7

2 p.m. — A 26-year-old West Salem woman was arrested for battery after allegedly spanking her 3-year-old daughter, causing bruises.

3 p.m. — A 62-year-old West Salem woman was cited for non-registration of a vehicle.

Bangor

For the week of May 5-12, the Bangor Police Department made five traffic stops, assisted the first responders once, handled an open door call and a bank alarm that was triggered by employee error. In addition, the department reported the following incidents.

Tuesday, May 6

11:25 a.m. — Four truancy citations issued at Bangor High School.

Wednesday, May 7

12:30 p.m. — Police responded to an automobile accident on Highway 16.

1:55 p.m. — A 21-year-old woman was arrested on Henry Johns Boulevard for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after a domestic dispute.

Sunday, May 11

12:30 p.m — An 18-year-old man was cited for underage drinking on the 700 block of 14th Avenue South.
